It’s a 1965 Model and the owner came out just as I started snapping some shots. He was cool about it.

Cool car. Gives me the chills just thinking of driving that car in the winter. I had one way back in the day and the “heater” was great - for a laugh that it is.

These were like driving a tractor compared to modern cars.

growing up we had 12 different Beetles at different times. Most were multi colored and beat up or average. Pop had one really nice one, a 66 very much like this one. It was totaled by an air traffic controller on his way to work, drunk.

Many fond memories of times in those things.

One of my neighbours has a Datsun 240z and I used to rent my garage that had a early to mid 1970s Buick with a 455

He’s at the foot of 10th and apparently drives it on the lake regularly as “that’s the best part”. He was in the local Santa parade this year.
